This Access to Nursing course is for adult learners who want to go to university to study Nursing; for example, Adult Nursing, Nursing (Children and Young People), Nursing (Mental Health), etc.
If you enjoy helping people, a career in nursing is a popular choice. With this certification, you will be equipped with the prerequisite knowledge and abilities to continue your education at a university and earn a full nursing degree before entering the workforce.
Universities typically require you to have an Access to HE Diploma in addition to GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or Grade 4 or above with the new grading system). Some universities will accept Functional Skills Level 2 English and Mathematics in lieu of GCSEs, but you should check with the university before enrolling.
